Thailand Holidays

Thailand is one of the world’s most popular tourist destinations and it attracts visitors of all ages and budgets – it is equally beloved by backpackers and luxury travellers and with its hundreds of miles of sandy beaches, vibrant and exciting cities and stunning landscapes, it’s really not hard to see why. Under the historic cultural influence of Theravada Buddhism, Thailand has seen the construction of innumerable stunning temples – the most magnificent of these perhaps are to be found in Bangkok and the former capital city of Ayutthaya. Other grand monuments include the great number of palaces and royal residences which are to be found all across the country.

Visitors to Thailand can indulge in some of the historic specialities of the country. These include its fantastic culinary heritage and its excellent therapeutic remedies and massages. There are also a great number of sporting activities to enjoy here – including scuba diving, horse riding and golf – and there are lots of tour operators who offer treks through the jungles or yachting trips around the coastlines. Thailand is famed for its vibrant – and in places a little wild – nightlife. Pattaya, Phuket and Bangkok especially are top party destinations whilst smaller islands such as Ko Samui, Ko phi Phi and Ko Chang have a smaller scale – but no less exuberant – nightlife scene. Another famous attraction of the country is the monthly full moon party of Ko Pha Ngan. Thailand is a great place for a romantic getaway or a fun filled holiday with the family. It is a great destination for groups of friends and for single travellers too. There is something here for everyone!
